Once you have your rail and awning fitted you may wonder if you can still use your driveaway awning? You're covered! Yes the traditional way of sliding your driveaway into the awning rail wont work due to the wind-out awning brackets, but the Thule 4200 Awning, has a C-Profile built into the lead bar of the awning. Allowing for a choice of accessories from a driveaway Kador attachment or other Thule awning accessories.
The Combi multi-rail fits the full length of your van acting as a rain gutter to divert water away from your sliding side door. Traditional wind-out awning brackets fit the front and the rear of your van leaving a gap between the bottom of the Awning case and your van.
Ideal for use with pop-top roofs, this multi-rail and awning setup is the only system on the market that allows more clearance behind the awning case and wont impact on the use of your pop-top roof, making it incredibly versatile with a layout to fit almost any van.

This system is the only way to fit an awning to a LWB/L2, due to the sliding side door hitting the awning case when mounted the tradational way using brackets bonded and bolted to the roof.

How does it fit?
Full fitting kit and instructions are included, preparation and measuring is key for a precise fit, using both the included stainless fittings and the bonding adhesive for a secure attachment, ensure you take enough time for the adhesive to set for maximum strength. Once fitted the awning brackets can then be fitted to the rail and then the awning can be attached to the brackets.
How long does fitting take?
2-4 hours
Do I need any special tools?
No - Only normal toolbox tools are needed, you will need to have a 3mm HSS drillbit and a suitable drill
